Q&A
Q. How long will it
take to get my board?
A. Your board is normally made and shipped out within 2 business days from USA zip
code 97439.
Q. How do I know if my
PCB image is 100% scale?
A. Open then print
your file while checking that the size/scale is set to 100%. When you
have the printed copy set a part on it and see that it lines up. If it's not
to scale resize it using any popular image software.
Q. Will you
make any board at the listed prices.
A. No. For example a 1" x 2" PCB requiring
32 different size holes will require a custom price quote. Minimum trace and space tolerance
is .015" We reserve the
right to reject any order by providing a complete refund.
Q. What is
the detail quality like.
A. Your board will be a copy of the quality of the image you
provide, or basically a laser print of what you send.
Q. What kind of text and references
can be part of my art work?
A. Anything you like (see example). Just keep in mind that all of this is
in copper, so be sure to separate text from your component traces.
Q. What kind of circuit
board options do you offer?
A. Single sided circuit boards only.
Traces, text and labels are all in copper. No Solder masks. No silk screening.
Q. What
material is used for these circuit boards.
A. We use 1 oz. copper clad phenolic resin boards that are 1.6mm
thick (unless otherwise agreed upon).
Q. What size
holes can I have drilled?
A. Typically a .03" drill bit will suffice for most
popular parts. Bit changes are often made for obvious reasons as
dictated by your artwork, for
example to create fastener holes. Holes over 1/8" are custom.
Q. I need my PCB cut to
a non-rectangular outline, can you do that?
A. Yes, Generally we will custom cut PCBs for a small fee. Email info@circuitboardstogo.com
Q. Will you design and
make me a circuit board from my schematic?
A. It depends on how complex the circuit is. Email info@circuitboardstogo.com
Q. Is my design safe
from being ripped off and sold?
A. Yes. Your art work is treated as original work with copyright protection
and there is no need to disclose the function of your circuit or your parts
list.
Q. Do you create
circuits from a design that has been ripped off without the permission of
the owner or designer?
A. No. But there are thousands of public designs available and most hobbyist
are willing to share what they create. Ask for permission.
Q. Do you guarantee that my board will work?
A. No. The circuit design
is your responsibility. It's a good idea to test your circuit on a bread board first.
If there is an obvious problem regarding scale or image quality you will be
notified prior to production.
